Hi I'm Dror,
I'm a software developer by day and a game developer in my free time.
My passion for programing and games started when I was a kid in the early 80s. It was the golden age of the
arcade games and PCs started being more affordable.
Me and my brothers got an IBM "like" PC which was running DOS, had 16k of ram and only one color, green.
It was amazing (: One of my favorite games was Karateka.
I started programing small scripts in Pascal, drawing moving lines and shapes on screen. It was my first experience in programing and I was fascinated by it.
Years later, in the early 2000, I was creating small arcade video games for fun, using JAVA J2EE.
In 2015, after working for many years in different tech companies, and after a long break from developing games,
I decided to come back to my old passion and I created the Numblies game.
As a software developer, I was very comfortable writing code, but with graphics, let's just say that it was not my talent (;
So I had to learn, practice and improve which I'm still doing. It is a cool thing to look at the first things you created
and then see how you improved with time.
Few years ago I started developing Orcania. It's a very big adventure and I'm only doing it when I have some free time. But It's a lot of fun.
Well, that's my story (:
I hope that mentioning the old computers, Karateka, or simply talking about games, might give you some inspirations to start creating games.
